Ode to Band Mommies

Band mommies are great - love 'em we do

They always have what we need - a new button or some glue

Even if you step in mud a mommy we be there with polish for your shoe

They make sure we all have what we need because they are so coo

That's why they're great and love 'em we do

Band mommies make us happy and they give us food

Cold water on a hot day when the band's nearly nude

And when were freezing our butts off hot chocolate puts us in a good mood

At band camp we find snacks on our beds and then we say dude!

After a hard competition the mommies are always there because they give us food

Band mommies are very helpful and wonderfully nice

They braid peoples hair much more than twice

In August the greatest thing they can give us is ice

They're always on top of things while we all run around like mice

And they always wear a smile because they are so wonderfully nice

Band mommies are fantastic without 'em we would die

They are there when we win or lose - laugh or cry

When we finally learn our show they give a big sigh

They treat us like their own kids - every girl and guy
