From the Dwarves in their caves, to the Elves of the forest
To the Men of Gondor, and the Hobbits of the Shire
The peoples of Arda were many, yet now there are so few
The Dominion of Men has come, and the time of elves is over
To Valinor they go. To the Undying Lands, to the land of the gods
Arda: obscured to darkness by men; peoples of great histories, forgotten
Dwarves away in their glittering grottos, hidden from the day
Hobbits, shied into their holes, for fear of the evil of men; for it is dark and great
The elves, fading to just spirits, left alone in their immortality, watching the world forever
Lothlórien, the gilded forest of gold, now forgotten in its glorious condemnation
The Shire, plowed and destroyed, the happy land of Hobbits is no more
Rivendell, the stronghold and home of the elves, left to ruin; lost for eternity
The Dominion of Men is come, and the peoples of Middle-Earth are hidden
The world of the past forever forgotten. Beleriand and Númenor lost in time
Gone. Gone. Gone. The peoples of Arda were many, yet now there are so few
