A/N: Just a little something for 'The Reichenbach Fall.' Based loosely on Shirley Bassey's song, 'Who Can I Turn To?' (which I highly recommend for the Sherlolly-TRB-feels it provides); follow up of sorts to 'I Need You.'

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

I Believe In You

It took three words to break Sherlock Holmes, but only four to put him back together.

"I don't count."

Those three words spoken with complete conviction had shaken him; for all his celebrated genius and observational skills he had never expected Molly Hooper to say that.

Much less to believe it.

It was this apparent lapse in his judgement, and not the corner that Moriarty appeared to have manoeuvred him into, that caused him to doubt his own brilliance.

Although in the end this seed of doubt made it easier for him to humble himself and actually ask for help.

It also caused him to eventually ask Molly just why she was doing all this for him; why she was prepared to risk everything to help a disgraced man.

And that was when she said the four words that put him back together:

"I believe in you."

Once again the words had been spoken with quiet conviction and they reminded him of why he had come to her in the first place.

Molly Hooper counted and, just as he trusted her, Molly Hooper trusted him.

He hadn't been certain of what he would think or feel when he stood on the rooftop, but he supposed he shouldn't have been surprised when he closed his eyes and saw Molly's face, heard her words echo in his mind.

"I believe in you."

Those words gave him the strength to throw himself off the building; not the thought of beating Moriarty, not the knowledge that it would save John and the others, but those four simple words from Molly Hooper.

It was those words that gave him the strength to go on in the days – weeks, months – that it took him to track down the last of Moriarty's men and that eventually brought him back to her door.

"It's over," he said by way of greeting as she opened the door.

Her eyes had flooded with tears, "Sherlock-" she breathed, but he cut her off by closing the distance between them and kissing her soundly.

"Thank you for believing," he whispered, resting his forehead against hers as they broke apart.

"Always," she whispered back, before he kissed her again.
