This came to me after reading some spoilers for this week's House. And sorry if I mess up some of the medical things.

Valentines Day

"Nice outfit." Cameron had just walked into the conference room. She was wearing a simple-yet-elegant red dress under her lab coat. Her hair was loosely pulled up into a ponytail and she had on some black heels. Chase was the first to see her.

"Thanks. Why's Foreman so happy?"

"He has a date."

"Good for him."

"And why are you so dressed up?"

"I have a date, too."

"Really?!" Chase was shocked at the last statement.

"I don't spend all my time dreaming of House! Jeeze you people. I have a life. And I have a date. What about you?"

"Umm…"

"The word is 'sneeze'." Chase was stuck on the crossword, again.

"Thanks."

"We have a case." House walked into the room. "Whoa! What happened to you?" He looked at her dress appreciatively.

"She has a 'date.'" Chase answered for her.

"With who?" Cameron swore she saw a flash of jealousy and anger in his eyes.

"Old friend from college. He's in town for a few days."

"Does he have a name?"

"Riley Karlson."

"Like as in the famous multi-billionaire business tycoon Riley Karlson?!" Chase questioned.

"Yep. Now you said something about a case?"

"Middle-aged woman with red splotches all over her. Fever of 102.5."

"Allergies?" Cameron guessed.

"Nope."

"Leukocytoclastic vasculitis?" Chase added. Both House and Cameron gave him a strange look. "I read about it."

"Cellulitis?" Foreman looked over.

"Sweet's?" Cameron looked up from the file.

"No, I don't have any candy." House said.

Cameron rolled her eyes. "Sweet's Disease?"

"A disease from a candy?" Chase looked at her.

"No! It's a disease. It's called Sweet's Disease. Named after some guy. I learned about it in the rare diseases class at college. Blotches on skin and a fever."

"Ten points to Cameron. Now go treat her with systemic corticosteroids. And the winner stays behind." House motioned to Cameron.

"Yes?"

"I wanna know about this guy."

"Why?"

"Because it's something in someone's personal life."

"He wants to discuss a job offer."

"He has a hospital?"

"Just opening one."

"And what position?"

"Dean of Medicine. That's what he says. But I know it will be immunology."

"So you're just old friends?"

"Yep. He's married, you know."

"Well that doesn't mean anything. Look at Wilson."

"Wilson's different. And I wouldn't sleep with a married man."

Suddenly a little melody started to play.

"Who's calling me?" Cameron looked at her phone. "Hello? Hey! Yeah, okay. Oh… No, it's fine. Family comes first! Alright. Bye!" She looked at House. "That was Riley. He cancelled."

"So now you have no date for Valentine's Day?"

"Guess not."

"Pick you up at seven. Wear that dress." With that House hobbled out of the room. The nurses couldn't figure out what was going on; he was smiling. But they left him alone, because it had been a very, very long time since he smiled last.

The End!
