A girl about the age of 15 was walking down the streets of Konoha. AS she was walking she heard whispers of names and rumors flew around. "Hey Sayuri" called a blonde haired girl about the age of 15 also.. "Hi Ino" she said walking over to her friend. "Have you heard" she asked "Heard what?" Sayuri asked. "About Shikamaru" the blonde girl said.
I've tried to tune it out
But everyone's talking about you
"He likes you" Ino continued. Sayuri smiled.

But I need proof
Don't wanna leave it up to my imagination

Maybe I don't deserve an explanation

As soon as she got home she found a red rose on her door step.

"Why are you crying" asked a voice above Sayuri. She looked up and saw Shikamaru. "Long story" she said. "I have time" he said sitting next to her. So she explained about what some of the villagers had said. "They're wrong your not worthless" he said.
Well it sounds too good to be true

"Hey Sayuri there you are" called Shikamaru. She turned to see him standing behind her. "You look nice today" he said. She raised an eyebrow. "I'm covered in mud from helping take care of dogs" she said. He just shrugged.
I tell my self
They're only just rumors
Don't buy in
Hoping that I'm wrong
In the end
"Isn't that the girl the Nara boy likes" asked one girl. "Yeah it is" the other responded. "Do you think her really loves her?" the first one asked. "We're just friends" she said in her head. "I really wish it was true what they're saying" she added to herself
I don't know what to think under these conditions
Never really been here in this position
All I know for sure is there's no dismissing

"Its been days and he's still in my head" she said annoyed to her other friend Hinata. "W-well m-maybe y-you j-just really like h-him" she stammered. She didn't reply. "Do I really love him?" she asked herself. She sighed. "Your right Hinata" she said

Sayuri was waiting by the tree that she and Shikamaru usually watched clouds from. "Maybe he's not coming" she said aloud. "Who's not" asked a voice. "I didn't think you'd come Shikamaru" she said. "We always watch clouds when we have time" he said. The day turned to night as they watch clouds. She had fallen asleep. "I love you Sa-chan" he said quietly.
