IF I DID IT WOULDN'T BE THE AWESOME GAME THAT IT IS.
Chibiterasu's birth.
It was a very special day on the celestial plain.
The great sun goddess, Okami Amaterasu, origin of all that is good and mother to us all, was having her baby.
Now, usually, wolves have litters. Meaning they have several babies at a time. But Ammy knew she was only going to have one.
There was a special reason for that.
All of the brush gods showed up to the birth of the new sun god or goddess.
They all saw Ammy sitting on her dog bed-like throne.
The sky became clear on the celestial plain as all the animal gods looked up.
Behind the scarelett colored sun emerged a reddish orange colored smaller sun from behind it.
A smile grew on everyone's face as they looked down and saw Amaterasu,
next to her was a small pup, there it was, there he was. Fur as white as snow and a dark gray tipped tail and very light pink markings, he didn't have the Shiranui markings like Ammy (Remember, when she left for the Celestial Plain,
she had her Shiranui markings).
All of the gods cheered.
Gekigami roared and Itegami mooed, Moegami flew around in circles and crowed. Kazegami galloped in circles and neighed, while Nuregami hissed cheerfully. Yumigami hopped up and down and pounded her hammer against the ground, and the Hanagami played their instruments. Kasugami baaed and wobbled over a bit, for even now she was drunk. Kabegami meow cheerfully and chased after Tachigami, and Tachigami squeeked and ran for his life.
Yomigami flew above them all, flying in circles happily.
They all partyed happily and cheered while Ammy cared to her pup. Yumigami hopped over to Amaterasu. "So, Lady Amaterasu, whos the father?" Yumigami twitched her nose as she breathed through it, like most rabbits do.
Ammy flicked her own ear. She didn't feel like saying the name of the father.
For the father, was a mortal.
She shook her head, and looked down at the pup. If they figured out the father was a mortal, he would be sent away. Because her son, who she named Chibiterasu, meaning small Amaterasu, would have to be sent away. And Ammy knew evil will strike again soon, and she couldn't leave. So she had to send Chibiterasu to defeat the darkness. But that was months from now, by then she would have taught him all of the brush techniques and he would be ready.
So she couldn't reveal the fact he was a demigod (Half god half mortal) just yet.
She stared at the pup who nuzzeled his head in his mothers crimson and white fur,
Yumigami pounded her hammer on the ground next to Ammy's head, trying to get her attention. Ammy looked back at Yumigami, "I can't tell you that just yet, Yumigami.
Go and celebrate with the others." she said pointed her muzzle towards the crowd of gods and goddesses. Yumigami had a blank expression at first, but then nodded, and hopped away.
She looked at Chibiterasu, who was sleeping peacfully, Ammy nuzzeled her head next to his and slowly closed her eyes as she warmed him up with her breath. And in the quietest voice she whispered...
"Oki would be so proud of you..."
