I wrapped my arms around Tobias's neck.We held eachother close.He was the only one who understood me.He understood my heart.My soul.He had risked his life for me more times than I can count,not even stopping to think about it.He loved me.The real me.I could tell him anything.He would listen.If anything ever happened to him,I don't think I could live.I..."Rachel?"Tobias asked,smiling,"You ok?" "yeah just thinkin."
I looked up at the beautiful stars."Tobias,do you think we would still me together if the yeerks hadnt come?"
"definetly."
The ellimist smiled as he watched Rachel and Tobias.He pulled a few strings of time so that the yeerks never came and watched the new scene.
Rachel was walking down the street,in a hurry so she doesnt miss her gymnastics class.She bumps into a boy her age,mumbles her apologies,not even looking at him,and moves along.
"Tobias!"his uncle yells,"stop running into people and come on.You're gonna miss you're flight to your aunts."
"Coming,"he mumbles.He feels like he should know that girl.He shakes his head,and gets in the car next to his uncle and drives away from the town forever and from disapearing girl already forgotten in his mind.
The ellimist chuckled and gave an all knowing smile.AT LEAST THE YEERKS ARE GOOD FOR SOMETHING.
"I love you Rachel." "Love you Tobias."
