Dear Diary,
You know, to set the record straight, this whole "Roxanne-writing-in-diaries" thing wasn't even MY idea, to begin with. It was my MUM's. Well, maybe it wasn't TOTALLY her idea, but still. SHE was the one who actually AGREED to torture me by making me keep a diary and SHE was the one who forced poor, innocent ME to write. I mean, how MEAN can she get? And for your information, she was ALSO the one who bought well, um, you. URGHH! Oh yeah, by the way, Diary, I've decided to rename you Melanie, whether you like it or not, because it's OBVIOUSLY lame for an 11 year old like ME to keep a DIARY. Obvious to EVERYONE except my Mum, that is. That's all for now, Melanie, but I STILL have to write in, er, you every single day Mum said. What a horrible TORTURE!
