'Please…just stay a little longer.' I reached out to him. He was like a light; bright and golden, slowly smiling at me, widening the suffocating darkness around me into a white, clear space.
God, I love that smile.
He began stepping back, and nodded to me, as if saying goodbye.
'You can't expect me to let you go that easy, can you?'
He just got further away, eyes now filled with tears, but he still smiled.
'Wait! No! Why are you leaving?'
I felt the darkness close in around me again, dragging me down, poisoning me.
'Please stop! I don't want you to go!' The light got dimmer and dimmer, his shining face growing smaller and smaller. I struggled to fight off the black nothingness, but I only seemed to get stuck more, like it was a tar pit.
I'm going to die without you.
'…I would miss you.'
The words echoed around my head.
'What am I saying? Where are you going? Answer me!'
A few more steps and he began to disappear.
'Goodbye'.
The light, MY light, now was gone. I fell back into the hungry darkness, feeling it chew me from the inside out.
'Where did you go?'
My chest was cold; my heartbeat no longer willing to pretend to be there…how could it when the one it beats for is no longer here?
'Why did you have to leave me?'
Closing my eyes, I ignored the agonizing pain with a grim smile.
"Come back soon, Roxas."
