Hi! I'm Badger and for my first story I wanted to write something kind of angsty so here. Promise. Disclaimer: I don't own a car. How could I possibly own something as amazing as the Harry Potter series.

Justin stood in front of Ernie close to tears. It was time. Justin had to run before the ministry caught him. Justin wrapped his arms around Ernie and he never wanted to let go. He had come to the realization that he loved Ernie in fifth year and since Justin might die he needed to let Ernie know.

As Justin opened his mouth to let the cat out of the proverbial bag, Ernie put a finger to Justin's lips, silencing him. "Don't. We'll have time for that when you get back. You will be back, safe and sound. Promise me." He said softly.

Justin shook his head sadly."You know I can't. It would be an empty promise."

"No. You can. Please, promise me that you'll be safe. That you'll come back to me." Ernie pleaded.

Justin looked into Ernie's eyes and couldn't say no. It would be nice to pretend that everything was alright. Even if for only a few minutes."Fine. I promise." Justin said.

Ernie smiled wryly."Well it's something at least. I have to get back. Mum and Dad are probably going crazy trying to find me."

Justin lightly shoved Ernie towards the fireplace."Go." He said.

Ernie walked to the fireplace stumbling a few times because he refused to take his eyes off of Justin. He finally left and Justin was alone. He grabbed the backpack that was on the the couch and walked to the door. Just before he left the driveway he looked up and mumbled to himself."I promise, Ernie. I will be back for you."

So I know it was short, but whatever. I might expand on this and, you know, follow Justin and see exactly how he keeps the promise he made. But as of right now it's a one shot so there and bye.
