The gun rose steadily in the air and Yassen watched in the shadows and he pulled the trigger.
"ASH!" a little voice yelled and little Alex Rider raced forward.
"DADDY!? Speak to me!"
"He's dead, Alex. Look go to your uncle he'll take care of you."
"Alex?" Ian asked at the little boy in front of him.
"Yes? Ian?"
"ALEX!" Ian hugged the boy and didn't let go for a long time.
"What happened to ASH?"
"He is dead."
