"You-you're asking me on a date?" Castiel stutters nervously, feeling his cheeks flushing bright red. The boy in front of him chuckles and touches the bridge of his nose.
"Uhm, I guess so," he smiles and lets his gaze to fall on Castiel's lips for a couple of seconds before he's back to staring Castiel right into his blue eyes. Shocked Castiel just nods his gaze full of misbelieve. Never ever in a million years would he have toughed that Dean could actually like-like him. In that way. No. Never.
The thing is that Castiel and Dean are friends. Good friends. They were close, always hanging around together, playing videogames and reading comic books. Dean knew Castiel inside and out and so did Castiel Dean. And they had known each other for five years. The others at school were always calling them gay and boyfriends, but Castiel had always toughed that Dean was straight. Like really he-te-ro-sexual. And now he was standing there, looking at him straight in his blue eyes and asking him on a date.
"I-is that a no?" Dean asks his voice small and sad, his gaze falling on the ground. You wouldn't probably believe and Dean would forever deny it, but the boy in front of Castiel is pretty shy. And Castiel cannot think when Dean would had look as adorable as now, his cheeks flushed red, just like Castiel's, his voice small and tight and the way he messes his hair completely by running his fingers through it.
"What? No! No!" Castiel rushes to say after realizing that Dean is probably waiting for an answer.
"It's a yes," Castiel breathes out a smile on his face. Dean lifts his gaze up to meet Castiel's blue and Dean's eyes have probably never seem so green.
"There's a forest in your eyes," Castiel whispers before drawing Dean into his embrace. Dean smells like motor oil and sweat, but it doesn't bother Castiel. He just breathes in the scent of Dean and lets out a deep sigh. This is where he really wants to be right now.
They stay like that for minutes until Dean opens his mouth.
"After finding out that I really like you and our feelings apparently being quite mutual, you're just going to hug me? Oh Cas, you are just so adorable!"
And Cas has no time to answer with any witty remarks or sarcasm, before Dean leans in to seal their lips into something that becomes their first kiss of their many other kisses waiting in the future.
