Disclaimer: I do not own the HarryPotter series, or plan to in the near future.
I hope this story isn't all that confusing...
All of the scars and wounds seem to hurt,
and perhaps the pain of the physical
beings and things seem to
be more important.
Perhaps
you would be
a man and suck it up for once,
and endure the pain attached to it.
But it would be crazy, right?
Seeing as though,
she somehow
acted as
i f
the pain
hadn't been there
at all, and for the first
time since you went to Hogwarts
she looked into your eyes,
and smiled
through
all
the pain
eating at her flesh,
and you think that perhaps
the battlefield had its upsides,
beside the glory that is to come
afterwards. You hold on to
the dream that perhaps
she could be
yours.
It
sounded
as though the
Gryffindor pride
has gotten the best of
you. And perhaps you were
just actually dreaming, off
to the land where you
can think before
s a y i n g
and
where
people can
actually accept
your apologies when
you mean it. You could
have her as your best mate again,
and it would stay that way.
It wouldn't be a
battlefield
where
she
always
wins and you
lose. Where you don't
go off chasing dragons in
Romania, and make
up fake girlfriends
to make
her
jealous.
But this is a
battlefield where
she wins and you lose.
Seeing the little band on her
finger, you momentarily freeze
and you realize you can't
have her back, and
it's a battlefield
where
she
has a
man to lean
on and to support
her, one that doesn't
go off chasing dragons and
leaves her broken-hearted.
You s n a p back to reality
and pull yourself up
off the
floor
and go
find somewhere
people need help rescuing
and saving, and knockout as
many death eaters you can
possibly can while cursing
at yourself for forgetting
that this is a battle-
field, not a
novel
for
broken
hearts. You
put up your walls
and remember her t i n k l i n g
laugh while she flew on
her broom, and challenges
you to a friendly race.
You almost smile,
but it's
a
battlefield
where people
can get h u r t, both
emotionally and physically.
Your heart breaks when
she fell to the floor
with a sickening
t h u d.
You
sob, and
set your mind to
fight which more brute
force, so you can
finally win
this war,
after
it
destroyed
your common
sense and your p r i d e.
This is a battlefield,
where she
can't win,
and
where
absolutely everyone
can't help to
possibly
l o s e.
Review, please?
Flame, if you rather.
Or some constructive critisism.
I feel as though I am absoulutely
desperate for reviews aren't I?
