Broken dreams are normal – But you can't help but ponder on them.

Silver's heart shattered and his usual demeanor of cold aloofness fell down. Eyes widened, his face pale, lips trembling – Giovanni, the man he was against, was really his father.

He watched the man as he mumbled something that sounded suspiciously like his son's name and turned around, sweating. His Ursaring had done its best to take care of a human, but it was a poor attempt. Nonetheless, Silver petted his Pokemon and gave it a rare candy he found to enjoy.

It was funny how rare candies were so easy to find in caves.

It was so funny that fate could be so cruel, and make the enemy he hated into the man he chased for since he was kidnapped by a maniac. It was funny.

"…Silver…" Giovanni muttered.

Silver grabbed his father's hand, and Giovanni smiled in his sleep. Sure, his dream of defeating Team Rocket's leader was now over and broken… but he gained a father.

Green closed his eyes and leaped into bed, bouncing several times. He laughed in a funny voice, before stopping abruptly. What was wrong with him?

Everything was wrong, since Red snatched the championship away from him and retired to Mountain Silver; as silent as ever. He didn't jut lose his championship; he also lost his all-time favourite childhood friend.

"Green, are you in there?" Daisy knocked on his door. "Did you just visit Red? Grandpa's asking," She rapped twice, but Green said nothing. Knowing how melancholic he was, Daisy went down the stairs again; deciding to leave him alone.

Eevee mewled, and snuggled up near his neck. The scent of snow still clung to it.

When will Daisy and the others ever learn?

"Don't ask me about him," Green whispered to the ceiling.

Red was, after all; the cause of his dreams plummeting down. But he still loved Red, just like when they were both childhood friends.

Red looked down from the mountain, but saw nothing. Everything was blacked by the snow that flew around and whipped his hair back.

"When will you return, Red? Your Mom's worried about you," Green said, his eyebrows furrowed angrily. He couldn't return for her. He was one of her broken dreams – how many times had she told him he looked so much like his father? It hurt her.

"Everyone misses you, Red. You need to come down," Green urged. Not everyone – maybe not Lance or the gym leaders. He had defeated every single one of them, even the elites and had taken their pride away with him. What was there to miss?

"Don't you miss the old times, Red? Even if you won't come down for anyone else, what about for me? We're friends, Red," Green begged, but was not answered.

He couldn't come down, Green. He's guilty of all the shattered dreams he caused. Green was stubborn, and Red was no different.

But how was Green so stubborn and dense he couldn't see the real reason why Red wouldn't come down?

Red wonders.
