The phone rang, he answered, got the information needed.
When he looked at Dean he saw nothing, but betrayal and anger.
He wanted to hang his head in shame, this revelation of what he was doing with Ruby, a demon, none the less, was never supposed to be shown to Dean.
He was terrified of what he could become, would become.
So as they walked out the motel room, twenty minutes later, he felt nothing. He was nothing, but numb.
