Zombie's Run This Town Apple challenge on the Sparkle Awards website [ONESHOT!]
I stared at it, I couldn't take my eyes of It - It was everything I ever wanted
I licked my lips as I went in for the kill
OneShot Title: Shinny Red Object
I waited until the darkness crept over the quiet town, I watched from the dark corners of the ally. So many venerable humans walked past, but I had to be careful I had to hold myself off, I didn't want to be caught,I did not want any problems.
Finally the darkness reached the corners of the ally, Then only then I knew It was safe for me to go out.
As I stepped out the ally, I just stood there. Nobody gave me more than a mere seconds glance.
I kept my eyes down.
As I began to walk I noticed a young, innocent, thin brown haired women walking along the street holding grocery bags. As I moved closer the smell hit me, it took everything not to just attack her there.
I had to wait for the perfect moment, so I began to follow her as quickly and silently as I could.
I noticed she was walking towards the outskirts of town, I couldn't help but to let a grin cross my face. This was going to be simple and she was the one making it simple.
There were less and less people starting to appear on the streets. I walked quickly, this was so I was able to walk next to her.
It took awhile but she turned and looked at me, slightly startled.
I have her a quick smile before I clamped my hand around her mouth. I watched as her eyes widened in shock. I pulled her close to my body. I could feel her trying to escape, but she couldn't.
I dragged her into the darkness of a small house. The house had been abandoned for years, everyone knew this.
She dropped the grocery bags, with a bang they hit the floor, spilling out all over the wooden floorboards.
I pushed her onto a chair, putting a cloth in her mouth, this was for keeping her quite. I took a rope and bound her hands behind her back.
I turned around and walked over towards the grocery bags , i noticed a shinny red object
I stared at it, I couldn't take my eyes of It - It was everything I ever wanted
I picked it up and brought it up to my mouth
I licked my lips as I went in for the kill
You could here the crunching as I grinded it with my teeth. Some of the juices rolled down to my chin.
I took another bite, the taste was breathtaking. It was the best I had ever tasted and It was mine, nobody elses.
I looked towards the young, thin, Brown- haired innocent girl.
She wanted what I had, I could see it in her eyes.
But this apple was mine.
Suddenly she jumped out from her seat – the rope fell to the ground, she grabbed the apple from my grasp.
She held it up her mouth letting her tongue trace over the juice which was rolling down the apple, The suddenly she bit into my apple.
A loud growl rippled from my throat.
I jumped towards her, snatching the apple from her. A smile spread across my lips. I went to take a bite from the apple, but it was gone when my teeth clenched together.
I looked around, I wanted that apple.
But the brown haired girl was gone.
MY APPLE WAS GONE
