It's That Simple!

The sky was bright blue with very few clouds in it. The breeze was just the right speed to keep the temp at just the right place. The birds were singing, and all the little forest animals were having parties. All in all it was just one of those perfect days that never happen. Of course, all this was lost on the three ninja standing next to the training posts.
Kakashi's jaw was so far down that it had stretched his facemask, and he had his Sharingan uncovered. Sakura was pointing and sputtering denials, completely incoherent. Sasuke had channeled so much chakra into his eyes to try and copy what he was seeing that they were glowing. They stood like this for a good ten minutes watching Naruto race around the training area.
When Naruto finally came to a stop in front of them, Sakura pointed and sputtered, trying to say something. Unfortunately she couldn't get it out before she keeled over in a faint. By this time Sasuke had so much chakra in his head that it glowed. And thus, shortly after releasing it, he fainted as well. "Kakashi-sensei! What's wrong with them?!" Naruto yelled.
Kakashi took a moment to visibly shake his head before covering his copy eye. "Mah, I'm sure they'll be fine. Just get them to some shade." With that he escaped into his ever present book.
A half hour of Kakashi pointedly ignoring what Naruto was doing later, the other two members of Team Seven woke up. Kakashi called Naruto over. "So, how exactly are you doing that?"
Naruto blinked. "You don't know?"
Kakashi just looked at him. "Why would I know that?"
"'Cause it's so easy! I figured everyone could do it and just didn't for some reason."
This prompted both of the other genin to plant their faces in the ground. Kakashi contented himself with a face palm. "Would you kindly just tell us how you did that?!" He said exasperatedly.
"Well, I was training here with my clones when I saw a messenger ninja pass by. He was traveling through the higher branches, and I saw him land on this really thin branch. I thought for sure that it would break. I mean, it would break if I just stood on it, much less used it to jump off of! Then it came to me, he must have been using the tree walking exercise to keep the branch from breaking!"
Naruto stopped there, looking satisfied with himself. After a few moments Kakashi realized that Naruto thought he had explained it. "Naruto, how did the tree walking exercise result in that?!"
"Oh, well, you just strengthen your foothold with chakra. It doesn't really matter what your are strengthening."
"You are telling me, that you can walk on AIR just by using chakra to strengthen it?!" Kakashi exclaimed.
Naruto gave his teammates a really big grin. "Yep! Cool isn't it!"
Author's Notes
Um, yeah, I hope someone finds this at least mildly amusing. It pretty much just came out of the fact that ninja regularly fly. I mean, how is taking 5 second long jumps at obviously high speeds not flying? Not to mention the time in the first Shippuuden movie that Neji hovers in the air... Anyways, I hope you enjoyed. If you find this story amusing, please tell me so! :D
