"I don't understand! How can the master be dead?" Charity demanded of the warrior angel. "I mean he is Life itself how could Death conquer him?"

"You have said it yourself little one, he is the living one," Michael said to the cherub.

"Michael? Michael! Where are you?"

"Over here Gabriel!"

"Adonai said it is Time," The Messenger said to Michael, his voice quivering with a hidden significance only the two senior angels seemed to understand.

"Of course," Michael turned to go, but then stopped mid-stride, "Gabriel? Why don't you take Charity to the Viewing Place so she can see our master doing his work?"

"Good idea. Come Charity," And with that Gabriel took Charity's small hand and flew to a high cloud. The cloud had a golden fence around the inner perimeter of it. Gabriel opened a little gate, and the pair breezed in. In the center was a pool of clear water, at first it was just water, but then, though the water itself did not change, the pool was a mirror looking down upon earth.

"Look Gabriel! It's Michael!" Charity exclaimed as she saw the archangel fly toward a garden tomb. "Wait! That's the tomb they buried Jesus in!"

"Yes, now watch," Gabriel said a little impatiently, but not unkindly.

Michael made his way to the tomb, a large granite stone blocking the entrance. The angel pushed it away, not to let Jesus out, but to be a testimony to the mortals who would see it. Then Michael drew his sword and with the point in the ground bowed as the king of Life over Death walked out into the creation he had shaped all those years ago.

Charity looked at Gabriel with tears in her eyes, and saw he was kneeling. She looked around and saw all the angels were prostrated, worshiping Adonai. Charity fell to her knees and with the others sang praises to God. Charity looked once again into the pool through tear clouded eyes. She saw Jesus walking up to Michael. He laughed out loud! His laughter was like rushing water, reviving the angels, bringing peace and joy into their hearts.

"Come my warrior!" Jesus said as he clasped Michael on the back, "Death and the Grave have been crushed!"

"Sire, soon all humanity will know of Adonis's and your victory!"

"I think you're right Michael," Jesus said as he looked over his shoulder, at the group of grieving woman that had just entered the garden. "Why do they seek the living among the dead? My poor children, still they do not understand. Michael you go now, I have work to do here yet."

"Yes Master."

"And Michael,"

"Yes Master?"

"Happy Easter."

"Thank you Master!"
