Severus Snape sat infront of the window in his private quarters, staring blankly out into the rain. Reading Dumbledore's letter had put him in a foul mood. Severus had applied once again for the Defense Against the Dark Arts teaching position, and had once again been denied. The old mans letter had informed the Potions Master that he had found another new face to replace the last DADA professor and that Severus had known the person during his Hogwarts days.
This didnt help Snape's mood one bit. Not only could he not figure out who was filling i/ his /i desired job, the deatheater meeting were becoming more frequent. Hearing a knock on the door, Severus stood up and went to tell off who dared disturb his solitude. Opening the door, Severus was more disgruntled to see Dumbledore standing there.
"Severus, there will be a staff meeting in an hour to greet the DADA Professor. You attendace will be required. I offered you up to show our new addition around the castle."
Snape rolled his eyes at Dumbledores last comment and shortly replied,
"Yes Headmaster. I will show my face at the staff meeting, then I show our new intuder around the castle."
Dumbledore smiled at the grumpy professor then turned and walked off, humming. Severus raised an eyebrow then shut the door.
Sarah Brooks was not a person who suffered from anxiety. She was a piliot for Merlins sake. Yet, she could not, for the life of her, calm her nerves. Her bags were packed, her house was put on the market to be sold, her beloved '67 Shelby GT Mustang had already been transported from her home in Kingston, Rhode Island to Hogwarts. She couldnt bare to leave it behind. Her father had given it to her upon graduating from the University of North Texas. All Sarah had left to do now was sign her divorce papers, give them to her lawyer, and wait for either her lawyer or ex-husband to contact her to let her know the divorce was final. An owl tapping on the kitchen window drew her out of the thoughts. The letter was from Dumbledore. Sarah quickly read the letter, sighed, picked up her cat Eclipse, said a final goodbye to her home, and apparated to Hogwarts.
