I Maximum Ride am sick of running, of hiding and of waiting for Fang.
Twice this week I had brain attacks. And both times I had to wait for Fang to catch me.
I screamed as i fell, my eyes clenched tight, teeth gritted trying to fight away the pain in my head.
I found myself thinking 'Fang where are you?' in vain.
Then out of nowhere Fang's hands clasped around my waistand my freefall ended abruptly.
"I was enjoying that you know?" I said sarcastically, "what kept you?!" I screamed in his ear slapping him upside the head and scowling when he smirked at me.
"nothing" he replied making me madder. "guess what Max?" Fang teased.
"what?" I replied hotly.
"Shouldn't you be unconcious?"
"Oh!" I exclaimed.
Just then five pairs of eyes where on me.
'Max?' I heard Angels sweet voice whisper in my head.
'Yes sweetie?' I thought back.
'Fang' she replied shortly.
I looked up and was caught off guard. Fang was smirking...again!
'what's he thinking?' I asked her.
'He likes you Max'
'And I like him' I replied noticing a split second afterwards she had not meant brother/sister he meant the other one.
Angel was cracking up laughing as she told the rest of the flock what she had told me and getting the same reaction as she had from me.
"Angel!" I scolded.
