Once upon a time, it was just you and me and all we needed to live was love and we had just that. Our story is so appropriately a faerie tale that I can't help but tell it so. Didn't you know? Faerie tales, the real ones, don't have happy endings.
There is no such thing as happily ever after.
There is no such thing as Heaven, 'cause no matter how hard we searched, all we got was an imitation of life and an endless Hell.
But none of that mattered because I had you and you had me. Together, we were safe in each other's arms even if it's only for a little while. I thought we were happy. I know I was. I felt as though I had a heart, life, something when I was with you.
You were my happily ever after.
So why did you leave?
I thought you loved me too.
