He always made that face when he wanted something and she said no. It drove her insane, the way he acted like a child to get his way, but she also thought it was really cute. He had such a cute face, one you couldn't help but smile over. She believed and he knew it was the only reason he ever got anything he wanted.
"What?" she asked as he came up to her, the look on his face.
AJ frowned. "I didn't want anything. I just wanted to say hi."
Katie crossed her arms, putting a small smile on her face. "Hi, AJ."
"Hi, Katie. I love you."
She rolled her eyes and walked toward catering. She noticed that he was already in his wrestling gear that night, which meant his match would be soon. "What do you want?"
"I left my money at the hotel."
She raised her eyebrows and stared at him. "And?"
"I need to borrow money."
She continued to stare at him. "What do you need the money for?"
AJ looked away. "I just need to borrow money."
She grabbed a few things to eat and sat down next to a couple of the other Knockouts. They smiled at her and continued to talk to each other. Katie looked at the embarrassed AJ. "If you don't tell me why you want to borrow money, I'm not giving you away."
She knew the face was coming. His eyes became more narrow, his lips parting slightly. His face had this red color to it and he looked like he wanted to cry. It was more than a sad face, it was the AJ face. And he always won. It was the reason she was constantly broke and always the reason she was forced to see movies she never wanted to see, added things when shopping that she didn't want, he didn't need, and managed to make her fall in love with him all over again.
Katie sighed and pulled some money from her pocket, throwing it at him. He took it happily and kissed her on the cheek. "I love you."
She rolled her eyes. "Tell me what you needed the money for."
He smiled a little and gave her a huge smile. "They wanted to see if I could get money from you with that face."
"Who?" she yelled.
AJ shrugged. "A few of the guys."
"AJ!" she yelled again, as he began to run away. She stood up and sighed. "AJ!"
