Dear Diary
Today was the worst day of my life and yet it had been a good few weeks. It started like any other day. Strikes were happening left, right and centre. There had been talk of a strike at Birling and Co for a while but nothing had happened yet. One of the girls i work with came up to me after our shift and told me about 3 weeks ago telling me we were going to have a strike in one week and it was going to last 2 weeks. They were striking for higher pay. Well the strike finished yesterday and we went back to work today and near the end of the day Mr Birling came down and sacked all the ring leader but as he saw me and the other leaders talking he automatically assumed that i was a ring leader as well so I no longer work at Birling and Co. The reason I am telling you this is because I have no one else to talk to so if anything happens you will be the first to know.
Talk again soon
