I don't own NCIS. Unfortunately.

Enjoy!

"You are the apple of my eye, the light in my life. You are the sun in my sky."

Ziva lifted her head from her book and stared at Tony. "Are you re-writing your profile, Tony?"

He groaned. "No, this is all the work of Nina, the bagel girl I went out with last week."

"She wrote you a clichéd poem?" McGee asked and Ziva laughed to herself lightly. "That's very sweet of her."

Tony continued to read the email silently and Ziva casually walked over to his desk, peering over his shoulder. "My dearest Tony," she began. "I can't tell you how much fun I had last week getting coffee with you. I hope we get to see each other soon."

McGee smiled. "Where does the poem come in?"

Tony slammed his head down on his desk as Ziva continued. "Below are a few lyrics from a new song I wrote after our date. You are the apple of my eye, the light in my life. You are the sun in my sky." Ziva looked down at Tony. "This is very sweet."

He quickly lifted his head and stared at her. "Stop smirking. This is not funny."

"Except that it is," McGee replied and Ziva nodded in agreement. "Maybe she'll give you a private show."

Ziva moved back to her desk, diverting her attention back to her computer screen. But Tony was still talking. "I don't want a private show, Probie. I want her to realize I haven't called her in a week for a reason."

"Tony, if you do not want to see her anymore, just tell her that in an email. It is not hard!" Ziva said and Tony and McGee both stared at her. "What?"

"You seem awfully bothered by this email. Is there a chance YOU were once the apple of someone's eye?" Tony asked and Ziva sighed.

She glanced up from her computer and noticed both Tony and McGee standing right in front of her desk. "I may have dated a man that thought I was the 'best thing that had ever happened to him,'" she said with air quotes.

"Did he write you a song?" McGee asked and Tony smacked him.

She shook her head. "He told me I was the best thing that had happened to him during sex."

Their jaws dropped. "What did you do?"

"I broke up with him, which is what you need to do with Nina."

Their conversation was interrupted by Gibbs entering the bullpen, his usual coffee cup in his left hand. "Grab your gear; we're going to West Virginia."

They all headed for the elevator and Tony couldn't help but ask. "Did you really just break up with him the next morning?"

She smirked. "No, I threatened to shoot him if he said another word. But I wouldn't pull that with Nina. She seems nice."

Tony smiled at his partner, knowing she wasn't lying, and continued to smile at her as the elevator doors closed.
