The end.
The escape.

The final moment.
Lucy felt a rush, like she just took a drug made of happiness. She, Lucy Heartfilia, was actually doing it. Running away. Sure, it was kinda hard since though her father was cruel to her 24/7, some of the staff weren't actually quite bad. But Lucy knew she had to do it. She could no longer stand that cramped mansion. Despite the numerous,spacious rooms, Lucy had thought it stuff and small, as though the dark aura of her father filled all the surrounding space,squashing Lucy.
Lucy wasn't entirely done yet, though.
She heaved a backpack filled with money,change of clothes and everything else she'd thought to bring along over the balcony edge. After an audible THUMP was heard, Lucy herself climbed down a tree. A gust of wind blew and Licy rubbed her arms, feeling goosebumps forming. Why did she always wear such thin clothing? The white sleeveless shirt and blue skirt she wore did nothing to protect her from the harsh Magnolia weather, though they were admirably cute.
Still shivering, Lucy started to trudge down the path leading from the Heartfilia mansion door, and dragged her feet towards Fiore.
It was a few hours later, dawn hovering on the edges and daylight begining to filter in, that Lucy realized what the hardest part of her journey would be: getting out of Heartfilia territory. At least she was far away (though still in the Heartfilia gardens) that she'd give everyone a good search before they found her.
If her father bothered, of course.
So Lucy sighed, and decided that as soon as she got out, she would find a nice rock to sit on and sleep for the rest of her life. Her legs were so dead.
