Light tapped away at his computer furiously, confusing L who was quite happily sucking on a large multicoloured lollipop especially sent in from England for him. They had nothing to do since Kira had stopped killing for some reason or another so honestly Light had no reason to be working. Unless... did Light hate being handcuffed to him that much! L felt a small stab of hurt at that thought and decided to question his only friend.
"What is Light-kun doing?" The black haired detective asked biting his lollipop as soon as he finished the question and sucking to get more of the flavour. Light barely looked up from typing.
"Changing my name." Light grumbled angrily, frowning at something only he knew. Well, that wasn't helpful in the slightest at relieving L's boredom. Yes, L was bored. No one asked him to do anything anymore. "My surname will soon be Yugami."
"Only Kira would change his name!" L yelled pointing as Light, determined to make Light look up from his computer.
"...L, have you even read my Romanized surname backwards?" Light asked with a sigh looking at L in annoyance. L froze in triumph for a second before nodding. In his mind he began to think. Yagami was spelled Y-A-G-A-M-I in the Latin alphabet which backwards spelt I-M-A-G-A...
"...Forget I said anything." L muttered wide eyed turning away. He realised he'd eaten his lollipop during the conversation in despair.
"I'm not petty or anything, but I don't need my sexual preference THAT obvious!" Light continued still typing. L immediatly had an idea and smirked to himself.
"...Light-kun's gay?"
"Yes..." Light realised to late what he'd said. "I mean..." L grinned making Light pause.
"So Light-kun will date me?" Now L was just teasing.
"WHAT?"
"Light-kun is gay and single (Sorta) and I am single so..." L smiled.
"WHA... I MEAN..." Light stammered. L chuckled; Light was going to be very entertaining for the next few hours.
