"I can't believe I was that stupid!" Jace punched the wall with his hand, making a hole where his knuckles hit. Clary sat up abruptly, "We could've been together all that time! But, no! I was too stupid to realize that Valentine and Sebastian lie!" He started to pace around the room.
Clary crawled to the end of the bed, standing on her knees as she grabbed his wrist. Jace let her pull him towards her, he nearly fell into her warm body as her small, determined hands stroked through his hair and cheeks. Their foreheads touched each other and Clary's green eyes looked up into Jace's gold ones.
"Jace, stop." The two words had come out less than a whisper, but shouted over him louder than a lion's roar. "It wasn't our fault, especially not yours. Jace, you said yourself that Valentine wanted to use our love against each other just to delight himself."
Jace sighed, his eyes closing, letting the nearness of Clary succumb him in love, "I won't ever be able to forgive Valentine or myself for believing such a lie. All that time, we could've been together and kissing." He smirked lightly.
"You have me now." Clary whispered, moving her jaw up to kiss him. The kiss was soft and passionate, sweet and loving, like the way a married couple greeted each other after a long day of work.
A wicked smile formed on Jace's lips and he gently pushed her down on the bed, before he climbed over her body. He held himself up on his forearms, their eyes still very close together. Clary gasped, his body lining up with hers in the most intimate ways.
"I could never want anything more, but you." He whispered, the mischievous glint still in his eye, "However, we have a lot of time to make up."
Clary grinned up at him, her fingers twining in his hair and pulling his face millimeters away from hers, "Then let's start now."
Jace, not needing to be told twice, kissed her lips with as much passion as he could muster in one kiss. Then, he kissed her again.
