uChapter. 1 No need for Loneliness/u
The sun began to rise and scare the blanket of darkness away, filling the sky with beautiful mixtures of gold, orange and violet. The light poured into the windows of the for once quiet Masaki house, awaking Tenchi from his sleep.
"Was it all a dream?" He asked.
He sloppily pulled on some clothes and burst into the rooms calling their names.
"Ryoko? Ayeka? Sasami? Anyone?" He cried out, but there was no reply. "They must be in Washu's lab!" He tried to comfort himself.
But when he reached the broom closet and ripped open the door, nothing but a broom, and dustpan lay clustered inside. The subspace lab had disappeared.
"No, they did leave."
After Kagato's defeat, Ayeka and Sasami stayed in Jurai; Mihoshi was promoted; and Washu became head of a group of scientists. But the saddest thing was that Ryoko had died. There was no way he would see her ever again; the others might still visit.
Tenchi felt a tear trickle down his cheek, but suddenly heard someone step up behind him. He frantically wiped the tear away, and attempted to hide away his sadness.
An elderly man had entered the eerily quiet room; he knew the sadness his grandson felt, losing some of the closest people to him so suddenly must be so unbearable. And for a moment felt himself unable to say anything.
"I suppose we will never get used to Tenchi, unfortunately you still have chores to do. Perhaps it will give you time to think." He sighed.
"I guess you're right." Tenchi replied, and quickly left to the shrine.
iI wish they would all come back, but I know that they wouldn't want to. Their lives must be going so well./i He thought to himself. br *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Well this is a short chapter; I promise it will get better in the upcoming ones. ^. ^
