Today was the day.
As Destiny stood out on the balcony, over looking the beautiful garden. She was completely calm. Today is the day she's going to marry the love of her life. In three hours, she would be Mrs. Robert Madge.
She went back inside to let the stylist start on her hair. As she say there, she thought of all that has happened in the past year.
Robert proposed in New York. In a perfect restaurant in New York, in candle light,tears streaming down both of their faces, she said yes. The next day the plans began.
Nothing too extravagant. A lovely arch ceremony in the garden of his
Home in London. Beautiful. Of course all of her best friends are there. Abby, Tori, a few other friends from school, and some film school friends. His list was a bit more extensive.
Her thoughts were drifting as the hair stylist finished. It was time for the dress. Roberts' mother had helped Destiny pick it out. Absolutely beautiful. Destiny zipped up her dress and exited the fitting room only to find Abby and Tori sitting on the edge of the bed of the room. In their bridesmaid dresses.
As they saw her they were both speechless. They had known her forever an this was a big step in her life.
"Beautiful." they said at the same time.
"You all too. How long now?"
"About half an hour now."
She felt the first feel of butterflies just then. This was really happening. It seems she turned around just a few times and she was walking down the stairs headed toward the garden.
As she neared the aisle, she heard the music start to play. Abby and Tori in front of her. Her dad taking her arm, and her mom handing her her bouquet. Abby and Tori were already half way down the aisle. She took her first step down the aisle.
There he was. Being his perfect self. At the end of the aisle. She knew he had tears in his eyes. She made her way down the aisle. They held hands through the beautiful ceremony and after the priest had finished, they said, "I do" and so their lives together began.
