Tobias
In all my years as living as a hawk, I've never flown this high above the ground! The winding river seemed as small as a strand of hair, if that gives you any idea.
"I have a question," Marco said. "If it was about five years between Rachel's death and Cassie's death, why did Rachel get here first, but the rest of us all get here at the same time?"
"Good question," Luna replied. "I set the rest of you on delay."
Delay? How did you do that? I asked.
Luna smiled. "Simple, I just held you all in suspension. You should've been completely unaware of the passage of time."
We flew on, and the marble building seemed to be getting larger with every flap of the Koglink's wings.
"So, Cassie, did you ever get some decent shopping done after the war?" Rachel asked.
To my surprise, Cassie actually laughed. "Believe it or not, Wal-Mart tried to get me to endorse their jeans."
Luna and Rachel exploded with laughter. "Wal-Mart?" Luna asked. "You almost did commercials for Wal-Mart?"
The laughter died down, and Rachel seemed to get more serious. "So what happened to you guys?" I relized just then, that Luna probably hadn't told her how we died.
I became captian of a Dome ship, Ax said.
"I moved to Holly Wood and dated super models," Marco answered.
"Super models? Yeah, right, Marco," Rachel replied.
"It's true! Jake, buddy, back me up here!"
Jake just shook his head and grinned. It was good to finally see him smiling.
"We're almost there!" Luna announced.
"Alright," Rachel said. "Finally! Cassie? You and I are going shopping, right now. We have five years of catching up to do!"
