This is just a little fic for my sis on x-mas. Gravitation isn't mine, and neither are the characters. Except Ryu. --chelsea
Silent Moonlight
Hiro walked into his apartment, humming the lead notes of the cord pattern for Bad Luck's newest song, his instant favorite. Entitled Silent Moonlight, Hiro had fallen for the soft lull of Shuichi's voice over the sweet lyrics. Suguru also liked the new song, and they all felt confident that it would be their next hit.
They also all felt confident that Eiri would absolutely hate it before hearing it. But that was always Eiri's attitude towards Shuichi's writing.
Hiro fell onto his couch, the words of the song moving through his mind:
A quiet light
Reaches my eyes,
And bores its way inside.
My tears are ceased,
My fears are eased,
And I lie without fear.
Hiro knew the song had been written with Eiri in mind, but he could easily apply it to Suguru's simple form in his minds eye.
The thought of you
Ever leaving
Escapes my mind.
I watch the sky
Through my open window,
And feel the heavy breeze.
Hiro closed his eyes, allowing fantasy to take over. The pretend Suguru looked at Hiro, a hungry stare in his eyes. Hiro silently beckoned him over, and Suguru complied.
Your fingers brush my cheek
Sending electric shivers
Along my spine.
I kiss their tips
As you pull away
And the silent moonlight watches.
Hiro's imagined Suguru cupped his chin in his hand and gently pressed their lips together. Hiro trembled slightly at the feeling he wasn't experiencing.
I whisper your name,
I get no answer,
And I wonder where you've gone.
The silent moonlight smiles down,
The answer clear,
You've left me all alone.
Hiro reached out to the mental image of Suguru and pulled him close to his body, pressing fake kisses to his forehead. "Don't leave me," Hiro murmured to the mirage. "Don't take this away."
I sit and look,
Terror setting in again,
For a sign left by you.
But you've left nothing,
Not a word behind,
And the silent moonlight mocks me.
Hiro's fantasy rose and walked away. Hiro groaned, whining to it not to go, but it didn't stop. Hiro sighed, leaning his head back against the couch.
I begin to cry,
Sweet tears slipping down,
And I scream your name.
You return, flustered and upset,
And stop my tears,
Saving me from the silent moonlight.
The imaginary Suguru didn't come back, but tears did begin to slip under Hiro's closed eyes. "Suguru…" he whispered. "If only you knew."
Joy overflows my body,
My soul and mind
Exuberant with delight.
Your touch is all
That's needed
To stop the silent moonlight.
Hiro slipped down to his side on the couch, quietly moaning Suguru's name, not noticing the door open or the figure enter. The young man that had come in walked to Hiro and looked down at him.
Your footsteps echo
Through the house,
But I know you haven't gone.
If you had,
The sky would know,
And the silent moonlight would taunt me.
Hiro's eyes snapped open when his tears were brushed away by a gentle hand. The band members stared at one another before pulling each other into deep hugs. "Suguru," Hiro muttered. "Thank you."
"I know Hiro; I know," he comforted. "It'll be alright."
END!
