Snow Swing

I don't own Harry Potter at all

A/N: this is another HP holiday one. It's short and maybe not the most detailed really that I've done, but it feels nice and right to me. I hope at least a few of you will like this one.

Penelope Clearwater was walking down the empty street. The sound of the crunching snow under her feet. She could see her breath, but didn't feel cold at all and it wasn't because of the numerous heating charms she had cast on herself along with wearing the warmest coat she had. No, she just felt so warm and happy naturally. She loved winter. That's why she was outside when most sane people would be inside in their warm homes. But Penelope always loved this season of snow, ice and frigid temperatures. There was something about how pristine and clean the world looked in winter especially after a big snow fall before it was mucked up by all the dirt and what not. Not to mention how all the dark bare trees turned white. That and this time of year had her favorite holiday, well holidays. Christmas and New Years. She loved both equally. Both had great significance to her personally.

"Though I'd find you here."

Penelope turned and found one Harry Potter standing there just a little behind her.

"Hi Harry, decided I needed a minder?" she asked.

"Somewhat, I would hate for you to catch a cold so close to Christmas" Harry said.

"I rarely ever get sick so close to Christmas Harry" Penny said.

"Yeah, but better safe than sorry" Harry said.

Penny rolled her eyes. She wandered down the street to a playground covered in freshly covered snow. She trotted over with Harry right behind her.

"Swings Harry" Penny cheered.

"You're such a kid" Harry said with a smile on his face as he shook his head.

"So? Swings Harry" Penny said.

She dusted off the snow and sat down ignoring how cold it was. Harry got behind her and began to push. Penny cheered and cried with happiness like she was a five-year-old as she was being pushed on the swing.

"So what are you doing for Christmas?" Harry asked.

"No real big plans" Penny said.

"Come on, a cute girl like yourself shouldn't be a lone on Christmas" Harry said.

"Are you flirting with me Harry?" Penny asked turning her head to look at Harry.

"Maybe, maybe not" Harry said mysteriously with a twinkle in his eyes.

Penny rolled her eyes. She could never figure out if Harry was being nice or flirting with her. He always doing that even when she was dating Percy. Now Penny was flattered at the attention she was getting from Harry even though she wasn't single mainly since Percy didn't pay her much attention. So Harry filled that void. Harry was polite in his flirting never going too far. When she finally broke up with Percy Harry kept up flirting with her like usual. Nothing seemed to change and that bugged her since she just didn't know if Harry was serious or not. She did know Harry wasn't a player of any kind. No, he was a nice guy, a gentleman.

"What are you doing for Christmas, Harry?" Penny asked.

"I'm thinking of spending it with a former Head Girl with love brown hair, sparkling blue eyes and a radiant smile" Harry said.

Penny's face heated up hearing this.

"They sound lucky" she said.

Harry then grabbed the swing chains stopping the swing. Penny looked at Harry confused and then gasped as Harry moved his face down and kissed her. She was stunned for a moment then kissed back. They kissed for what felt like forever and when they parted Penny was left breathless.

"So what do you say, want to spend Christmas with me?" Harry said.

"Yes" Penny said.
