AN: Once again, here I am with a Christmas story for ya's. As it was last year, (wth? Last year?!) it's dedicated to my dear Truthful Nomad on her birthday. Here's a Kilodel one for you. :) Similar scenario as last year. This time, Kili and Asphodel have a long distance relationship- both are at different universities.

No characters are mine. (except for the mentioned Melilot) All the others are hers or Tolkien's. You'll know whose is whose.

One frigid winter night, Asphodel felt lonely. Well, it wasn't just any night, it happened to be Christmas Eve.

Normally, she'd be with her family- Bilbo her father, his friend (hold up, is she still just a friend to him?) Melilot who was also her close friend, her sister Brenna and Brenna's boyfriend Fili… not to mention her own boyfriend Kili, but they were all… gone. Travelling, working, studying, they weren't at home.

She had indeed spent the morning with some college friends, and there was light so she felt less alone during the day, but night came. That was the problem. There was a log she had placed in the fireplace that was burning jovially, and she had attempted to bring a little cheer with some candles, but that didn't fix the problem. Loneliness.

So she sat on the couch, quite on the verge of tears, when suddenly, there was a thud on the window of her apartment that was on the second floor. (She didn't like to be too high up.) Carefully, she peeked out the window, suddenly afraid. Now what on earth could that be?

From her spot behind the curtain, she then saw the most wondrous thing in her entire life.

The one she loved the most was outside in the falling snow wearing a big grin on his face.

Oh Kili, you reckless little fool.

She came out from behind the curtain, by now her lips were pulled into an awestruck smile. Not even thinking twice, she flew out the door down to the lobby to let him in, prompting a few smiles from late night lobby visitors.

Well, she didn't really let him in, because she was outside and in his arms before he could even get out, "Merry Christmas, my love."

With an ardent kiss they greeted each other. Somehow, in their rush to show warmth and love, Kili did not drop the gifts for his love that he was holding.

And after a long moment, they pulled back to catch their breath and gaze at each other in adoration.

"You… drove all this way, just for me?" Asphodel wondered breathlessly.

"No matter the distance, I wanted to make it. It might've been long, but it was all worth it, there is no one I'd rather spend Christmas with." Kili affirmed with a smile like the sun.

Suddenly, Asphodel realized with horror. "Oh my gosh, I didn't get you a present. I didn't think I'd see anyone at all."

"Shh, don't worry about it, love." Kili assured her. "You're everything I ever wanted."

They kissed with fervency once more, before Kili led her inside- "Come on, it's cold outside."

The pair might've been alone that Christmas, but they didn't care. They had all they needed in each other. And that might've made it the single best Christmas ever in Asphodel's opinion.

AN: Hope you enjoyed! ('Specially you Nomad! You awesome person you. ;D) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Love,

Kennedy
