Chapter 1: Lucy and Natsu
Lucy's POV
I walked into the guild hall, and l sat down in my usual seat. "How's it going Mira-chan?" I asked the white-haired mage. She just ignored me. It has been like that ever since Lisanna came back. The entire guild has been ignoring me for who knows what. Its like I don't exist. The team even started going on missions with her and leaving me out. Oh, Mama, why is everyone is so mean to me.
A tear slid down my cheek as I thought about how the guild has been for three months. THREE MONTHS! only one person really has been understanding, which of course is Master. I've been going on solo missions for who knows how long. All I know is that it's been training, pretty much. Those missions have been really tough without my spirits to help because I chose to train myself this way. Now, I can run fast enough to be a blur and attack the opponent and knock them out. I was really deep in thought, as I thought about training. In fact, I didn't even notice Erza, Gray, and Natsu, with Lisanna hanging on his arm. For some reason, they looked really angry.
"Lucy, we're kicking you off the team. You were only a replacement for Lisanna." Erza said. The words stung deeply, but I walked away, ignoring them.
I went to the master's office and knocked on the door. "Come in," his voice demanded. I stepped into the office. "Master, I would like to leave the guild." "But why, my child?" he said looking at me with saddened eyes. I told him that I wished to be alone. "Alright, then."he stopped and stared into my eyes."Are you sure, Lucy?" "Yes," I replied, confidently. He waved his hand and my guild mark disappeared. It will always leave an empty space, in my heart. I handed him the envelopes to be opened when they finally realized. "When the guild finally notices I'm gone, please, tell me how their reactions are." And so, I left the guild with tears in my eyes, knowing that I will no longer be with the family I loved.
I packed and gave the landlady my rent for the next few years, as I got ready to start my journey, to a new life. I rode a train to the nearest town and looked for a forest, deep inside, away from any humanity. I unpacked my things and started training. I trained for long periods of time, and then meditating. I built up magical energy, which became more powerful depending on my emotions. My heart had healed over time, and I became more lively. When 3 years passed, I knew it was time to return.
I stopped in front of the guild, absorbing in its atmosphere, prepared to take whatever the guild might throw at me. With a hood over my head, I walked into the guild, straight to the master's office. "Master," I said, pulling my hood down, "I'm back." "Lucy! My dear child, welcome home." I explained to him what had happened over the years, and he began to tell me of their reactions.
Flashback
(One month after Lucy had left)
Levy was reading her book, when she thought about Lucy's novel, and realized she had not seen Lucy in a long time. "Master," Levy began, "Where's Lucy?" With a grave expression on his face, he handed her the letter, tears forming on his face.
Levy's POV
Dear Levy,
You have been a great and wonderful friend to me. Even though you neglected me for a few months, I was your friend, and I still am. I have forgiven the guild for their actions, and Team Natsu, for kicking me out for Lisanna. I will be gone for the next few years, training, but I promise I will return. My novel is in the apartment, waiting for you. I will miss you. See you soon,

Lucy Heartfilia
I instantly felt the tears coming, and the master and I cried together. I finally realized what had been going on, and stormed over to Team Natsu.
SLAP! The sound echoed through the hall, and Lisanna glared at me, asking if Natsu was alright. He glared at me, holding his cheek and yelled,"What was that for?! You bitch, you dare hurt me!" Right then and there, I snapped, "Haven't you realized what you've done?! You hurt my friend and she's been suffering. She's gone now, thanks to you! I will never forgive you for your cruel sins, and for hurting MY BEST FRIEND!" Turning to face the guild, who was in a state of shock, and me with my tears streaming down my face, I yelled, "All of you, for hurting your precious guild mate, your own family! I can never forgive you, or myself. Lucy's gone, and not a single one of you has noticed! Shame on you for ignoring her. Shame on you for neglecting her. Don't you know how much she's suffered?! Her father hates her, her mother's dead, and now her family has left her. How cruel could you be!? "
My knees shaking, I fell to the floor sobbing, while the guild had faces of horror, sorrow, regret, so clear and bold. I knew that I could no longer bear this so I went to Lucy's apartment, to search for her.
