Somewhere in the room Saruhiko heard an alarm going off. It's blaring was becoming an annoyance and he was mere seconds away from smashing the damn thing to pieces.
"Tch. Reisi, turn that damn thing off…" He mumbled, turning over on his side and hoping the older man would settle it.
"Oi, Reisi…"
He turned back over, opening his eyes, prepared to demand his partner do something about that goddamn racket.
Empty.
With a small scowl he leaned over, pounding down on the off button. That was one problem solved at least. Now to track down his missing king.
Drawing the blanket around himself he climbed out of bed, padding out of the room and down the hall. The sound of the water hadn't been running so he could rule out the shower. And so far there seemed to be no sign of him in any of the various rooms in the house. That only left one other place, he thought to himself as he turned and found himself greeted with the smell of freshly made rice topped with a bit of egg.
"Good morning, Fushimi-kun." The man smiled at him as he set a bowl down on the table. Saruhiko pulled the blanket tighter around him and sat down with a small huff.
"Morning…"
"Is something the matter?" The blue king sat down, looking a bit concerned.
"You should have woken me up."
"I assumed you would want to sleep in. Isn't that what you prefer?"
He said nothing, instead shoving a bit of rice into his mouth.
"Fushimi-kun?"
"Tch. Not anymore… It's too damn cold in that bed when there's no one else there."
The king gave him another warm smile, nodding. "Very well then. I promise to wake you up every morning. Perhaps tomorrow we can make breakfast together."
"If by that you mean, I'll sit in here while you cook, I wouldn't have it any other way." Saruhiko smiled to himself, picking up his bowl.
And he knew the other man wouldn't mind, he never did. Nothing seemed to matter when it was just the two of them. And that was all either really needed.
