Author's Note: Hey everyone, sorry I haven't updated either of my stories, I just finished doing my school's spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, woo! Yeah, I was playing the violin in the pit, go strings! So yeah, I might pick up the stories if I have time, but until then, please enjoy this one-shot I wrote. Sorry if it's a little odd, I wrote this when I was on medication that made me very drowsy, blame it on the medication! :P

I hated my life. I hated me. No one likes me for who I am, just my body. I know, I should be happy about the line of suitors outside my house, but it makes me feel dirty. My name is Melissa Howard, declared the most beautiful girl in all of Narnia. The eyes of my suitors are full of lust, not love. Even the prince has tried to court me, I denied him which made the people of Narnia shocked.

A knock was heard at my door. "Melissa? Someone is here to see you." My mother said through the door, I inwardly groaned.

Slowly, I made my way downstairs to the living room. There stood a young man in his 20's, I must admit, he was rather handsome, but I knew they reason why he was here.

"Oh Melissa, I have admired you from afar. I love you. Will you marry me?" The man asked on one knee, eyes full of the familiar lust I've seen time and time again.

"No." I said in a stiff tone before walking up to my room hearing my parent's gasps of surprise. They should know my answer by now after the countless suitors I've encountered.

After grabbing my cloak, I went into through the kitchen door and headed into town. I was greeted by the usual bustle of the town, no one noticed me. Narnia was a very strange and amazing place to say the least. This land was filled with creatures such as minotaurs, dwarfs, fawns, and centaurs. I was a Telmarine, we took over Narnia a while back, I wasn't pleased by what my ancestors did. During the war between the Narnians and the Telamarines, I fell in love. His name was Peter Pevensie, High King of Narnia. He captured my heart and he was never to return. It broke me. My heart ached for him and his gentle touch, hi hands caressing my face. How I longed to be with him, to hear his voice.

While I was distracted by my thoughts, I didn't notice a gaping hole in the center of town. Down I went in the damp, dark hole. I landed with a thud in an unusual place. It seemed to be some sort of house, as I took in my surroundings, a glimpse of blond hair caught my eye.

"Peter?" I asked in disbelief.

"Melissa?" We both stood in front of each other, shocked. Soon, our arms were wrapped around each other. The sound of my sobs filled the room.

"I can't believe it's you, I thought I'd never see you again." I whispered with my head on his shoulder.

"I've missed you so much, Melissa." He replied, I pulled away from the embrace.

"Really?"

"Really. I love you, Melissa."

"I love you, too, Peter."

Our love was then sealed with a kiss. I was right were I belonged.
