Author's Notes: A short little filler.
Sugar & Spice
"Mulder what do you thing your doing in the kitchen?" Scully having to be asking for the third time.
He looks up from trying to save his idea of a cake. In order to have it later as a late night snack. Just after he and his wife had spent the better of a week working on a case. That had no bearings to a X-Files or any thing else for that matter.
Other then the fact to just keep themselves busy, while A.D. Walter Skinner was away on a special conference for the New York, regional office going over details for when Donald Trump will be swore in as President of The United States.
Even though that either Mulder nor Dana Scully had voted for the man and his issues, for when it comes to running the government. And the type of budget cuts that he wishes to make in order to cut down on the spending. With Medicare, Social Security and other key programs for the elderly.
Anyway.
He was hungry. And was in need of a sweet delight other than his own wife for that matter. Otherwise she was very close to having the baby soon. After her doctor had said she might be having the baby boy with-in the next few weeks or sooner.
So she wasn't able to even attempt it with sex and wind up hurting herself in the process with the delivering.
Here he was inside of his house and the kitchen trying to come up with something worth his while. That in the fact the basketball game was coming on soon. Even though Scully had stated that she was going to watch the game between the Knicks and the Celtics. In order to keep him company and his overall sanity.
After Scully's question about the cake. She'd felt as if his answer was good enough for now, even though feeling as if she was floating after tasting the batter from the round bowl filled with his ingredients
She was hoping that he didn't put anything illegal into the batter, In order for her husband to get into trouble, for when it comes to his sweet tooth.
He was able to tell her with a straight face. That he wasn't able to place anything else into the batter accept for the usual items that normally goes in a cake. As he gives her a bit of an nod of affirmation answer without having to chuckle.
Knowing full well that Fox Mulder might of been lying. Otherwise she would mostly leave it at that for now, and continue on with making the cake without destroying it completely.
This way he will be able to have his sweet desert, along with the popcorn for when it comes to the basketball game.
Even though for Dana Scully. She was able to lean in closer some later in order to smell the cake from inside of the oven. She even considered giving her husband a compliment for when it came to his idea after all with the cake.
And just when it was ready some time later.
She swallowed loudly for when she was given the very first piece of his Suger & Spice cake. She'd to admit without lying. It had turned out rather for the first time made by her own husband for when it comes to his cooking in the kitchen.
And for which Dana Scully was very proud of him, while they settled down with the cake, popcorn and drinks set-up in the bed-room for the rest of the evening with the blankets covering them.
All she needed now was whether or not on just when she was going to go into labor and have the basketball inside of her. It'd gotten to the point of having to be just too much for her to bare.
