Draco Malfoy stared at a picture on the wall of Malfoy Manor. So much had changed since the picture was taken. It was a portrait of him and his parents. It was from before he became a Death Eater. Thinking back on what has happened since that portrait, Draco came to a single decision. He will not become like his father. He cannot do that to his son. He will have an influence on him, but Draco will not be the overbearing patriarch like his father, not after everything that he had experienced. His child will have a better life.

Harry thought about the man that Draco Malfoy had become. He was nothing like Lucius. Draco was caring; one would never believe that this man was once a Death Eater. He watched the man from his family's table at the Leaky Cauldron. Harry watched as Draco smiled at his son. He looked so happy. He looked nothing like the young man that had picked on Harry and his friends. Draco was a wonderful father from everything that Harry observed. Then it dawned on him. Lucius made Draco so hateful in his youth. Now Lucius was gone, and Draco was happy.

Ron was overjoyed at the Quiddich tournament. His team was winning and they had great seats. He glanced down, and was surprised at seeing the Malfoy family in the seats in front of his. Draco's son was in his own daughter's year, Draco having a son didn't surprise him. It was that Draco's arm was around his son. It seemed like little Malfoy was starting to nod off with his head resting on his father's chest. Draco didn't try to keep the little one awake. Ron watched in wonder, as Draco occasionally pointed out plays until the child fell asleep.

A/N: just a little idea that popped into my head and I took the time to type it out. 100 word shorts about Draco being a father.
