I started this a long time ago and sorta forgot about it. Hope you like it.
If it's not clear enough, the italics are memories and the normal print is the present.
His car was hit by a drunk driver.
They didn't even trust her to drive herself home. They had said something about how she was to big of a danger to herself and others. They found that in moments of intense grief that even the happiest people can be suicidal.
But was it really the best idea to get a ride home with Chase's childhood best friend, Adelaide, seeing as she wasn't farring the best either.
We don't expect him to live.
By the time she did get back to their- no- her house, she had already cried her way through all of her tears long ago.
"Stay here," She whispered to Adelaide. With a nod, she sat down on the couch, face blank but eyes rimmed with red.
She pushed her way past countless doctors, all of whom tried to get her to stop running or at least slow down. They all realized quickly that it was hopeless and instead directed her towards the room in which her husband lay.
She let out a tearful gasp at the sight of his lifeless body.
"Thanks for letting me stay," Adelaide said.
Lena was taking Adelaide back to her own home. She had said that it was best for Rory to grieve in private. After her gran had died, she had read up on the best ways to cope. "It's Turnleaf, Mrs. Turnleaf." She cried, staying firmly in place.
They got her to leave, eventually.
"Are you okay?" Lena asked.
"I'm fine," Rory mumbled in response.
"Good. Well I've got to go. The twins are napping with their father and-," She cringed as soon as she said it. Her mouth opened before closing again.
The tears streaming down her face were apology enough.
Turning on her heals she wordlessly left the room.
And then it all came rushing in on her once again. He would never this and She would never that, but mostly it was about all of the thing that they would never do together.
And most of all, the one person that would be of most comfort in a time like this was the reason why she needed comfort.
She needed him.
And without him she would never be whole again.
Bye Chase. I love you." She whispered, kissing his forehead.
And she could have sworn he said for one last time, "Love you more,"
