An annoyance, that was what he had called this feeling. He'd even warned her about it, to make sure she realized what he felt so he could change that annoyance into something else.
But he employed her into his lie all the same. Ayano was bothersome and marriage wasn't at the top of his list of priorities. The Concours were, his flute, his music, even the persona he wore at school were more important. But then Kahoko Hino had gone and said something like- "Which is the real you?"
She knew. There was no fooling her straightforwardness after all. He fooled everyone at school, all the while whispering Look at me, Look at ME!
Perhaps she had heard his silent voice. No one had bothered, but her. She wasn't sure as to which was him, truly, but it was much farther than many other people had even tried to see.
