Social Insecurity

By Alice and Jane Potter

He loved them. They could be curly, or straight. On birthday cakes or license plates, he didn't care. When he saw them, he lost control, such was his love and lust for numbers.

He'd had many alternate clones running around. So many, in fact, that he could not keep track of them all. He pondered for a brief moment before coming up with a way to keep track of them all: number them. Since he proposed the idea though, a new one hadn't been created to number. All the Daves running around right now couldn't be counted-there were too many! He'd come up with a name for them later.

His life was boring and uneventful, until on one fateful date, a new alternate Dave he had never seen before walked through his front door. He knew this was a new Dave because he had never seen a Dave with those glasses before. Instead of being a shiny black like his and all the others', this Dave's glasses were navy blue. Where had he been hiding?

It didn't matter now. He had a new Dave to number. Before he could decide upon a number, the alternate self spoke:

"Greetings. I am Alternate Future Dave number 6969."

Dave shivered. 69. His favorite number of them all. He whispered "6969" to himself and smiled. Ohhh, he was going to have some fun with this other-self. He was going to teach himself the art of picking up and sucking up.

"Follow me, 6969," Dave said with a smile, and lead him into the closet.

They boned.

A/N: Although this story was written by me, Alice, I have to give credit to Jane for coming up with some ideas for the fic. She came up with most of the ideas, actually! Sorry about the rushed ending-we're all too shy to write sex scenes. /3/
