Hey, guys! Sorry I've been taking so long, I have A LOT going on. So here's yet another story. Read, review, and enjoy!

Let It Snow

I entered the Heads' Common Room, trying to rub some feeling back into my hands, which were numb with cold.
"Hi, Draco," said Hermione from her place on the sofa in front of the fire, where she was bundled in a thick quilt with a book. I could see snow rushing past the window. There was a blizzard going on, and we were snowed in. I'd had to go patrol the freezing corridors for an hour to make certain all the students were in bed where they belonged. The corridors had gotten colder he closer they were to he ground level. By the time I'd gone down to do the dungeons, I had been practically blue with cold. The walk to the common room wasn't much better; the corridors weren't heated, only the common rooms, dormitories, and bathrooms were at this hour.
"My goodness, you look frozen solid!" said Hermione. She shifted to the side. "Here, come sit, get warm."
Gratefully, I shed my coat, boots, scarf, and gloves and slid under the proffered half of the quilt. She nestled up to me, and I put my arm around her, letting her warm my heart. The fire was mere feet from us, and its glowing heat warmed the rest of me.
"I feel weird, just sitting here doing nothing," I murmured after a few minutes of silence.
"Why? It's not like we have anywhere to be at this hour," she said. "It's the holidays starting tomorrow, we won't have anything to do over break. Who cares if there's a blizzard? Then we can stay in here all day tomorrow."
"True. It's supposed to go until Tuesday," I said. "How many people are staying for Christmas, do you know?"
"Well, we are, obviously. I think it's just us and a handful of Ravenclaws," she replied. "Oh, and two girls from Hufflepuff. Like nine kids overall."
"Oh. Hey, how about some popcorn?" I asked.
"At this hour?"
"Yeah, why not?" I flicked my wand, and a bowl of popcorn appeared in my hands.
"Thanks," she said, taking a few pieces as I offered.
It was dark outside and she hadn't turned on any lights, so the only light was from the fire, which made the snow sparkle as it drifted past the window.
"It's late," she said after about an hour. We had been sitting there, talking and eating popcorn. "We should go to bed."
"But it's so warm and cozy!" I protested. "I don't wanna go get cold again!"
"I know what'll keep you warm," she said with a smile. She turned and kissed me softly. I held her tightly, never wanting to let her go.
She rested her head on my shoulder, and I thought she'd fallen asleep. The fire, which had been blazing steadily, was beginning to fade.
"I'm sleepy," she murmured after a bit. "I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight."
She began to stand up, but I held her back. "Just sleep here," I suggested.
"But Draco..."
"Come on, do you really want to get up and walk up all those stairs?" I wheedled.
"Well, no," she conceded. "Fine, I'll stay here." She nestled back against me, resting her head on my shoulder. "I love you."
"I love you too," I said, kissing her head. My arm wrapped protectively around her as she fell asleep. I drifted off as well, wanting nothing more than to stay like this forever.
The blizzard went on.
