A/N: My own tag to 'Truth and Consequences'. Just about the coolest episode ever. I absolutely loved it. But since that is irrelevant. This is supposed to show how overwhelmed Ziva must be when she gets back to DC.

This had become her home.
She knew now, hugging Abby, that she had come home. Going back to Israel had never felt so good. Even with the atrocities that had been committed against her, she could still feel the pull towards these people, towards this life, that she'd never felt towards Mossad and Israel, everything she'd been born into.
He wanted her to feel at home.
He thought he had only wanted revenge because she was a fellow NCIS agent. Because he'd gotten to know and depend on her. But no, it was deeper than that. Like he'd said, he couldn't live without her. But if she couldn't be here, with him, anymore, he would let her go. Back to Israel, her home. He supposed America could never be her home, she was tied too deep into Mossad and Israel.
As Abby let go, Ziva David looked around at the rest of them, standing around and watching, waiting. She stumbled to her desk and sat down stiffly, her weary body and mind overwhelmed by the rush of emotion and action after a summer of torture. She laid her head on her desk and tried to stifle the flood of tears that threatened to pour forth, but she only succeeded in a dry sob. Almost immediately, she felt slight pressure on her hands as they were pulled out from under her head.
He couldn't stand to see her cry. Tony DiNozzo was there even before Abby, reaching for Ziva's small hands as dry sobs racked her body. He was startled by how thin her hands were, even though they'd always been small, they were incredibly frail. He felt as if he would break them just by holding them gently in his much larger one. But Ziva grabbed his hand and held tight as she lifted her head, obviously doing the same to Abby if the look on the scientist's face was any indication.
"Don't leave," Ziva whispered. Tony shook his head violently.
"Never."
A/N2: So. It's very short, obviously the first she is Ziva and the first he is Tony. I just felt I needed something after that amazing episode.
