~CHAPTER ONE: INTRODUCTIONS~

My name is Carmen Anakin Kiladra. I guess that, among the students of the KJA, I'm pretty average. I'm intelligent, can fluently speak several languages (and no, I am not a Mary-Sue; I took classes, you know), am also talented with the violin and piano (again, not Mary-Sue, just many lessons), and I'm good with a lightsaber. I'm on the school badminton team. I can fly a starfighter pretty well, too. Like I said earlier, I'm pretty normal.

Whoa! you're thinking right now. "Lightsaber"? "Starfighter"? Is this girl nuts? Those things aren't real. Before you go off thinking that I am a crazy teen girl who thinks she lives in a "fake" world, I'm going to say something, and I need you to listen up. Ready? Here goes:

I am a Jedi.

No, I am not a clinically insane roleplayer in need of therapy. I am a real, actual Jedi who lives and learns at a real, actual Jedi academy.

Want to know something else? Well, you know all those other shows and movies and games you see? The characters in them are real, too.

I know. You think I'm totally insane. But I didn't know all that until a few short years ago. I'll bet that you - having the "true" fact that anyone in a storybook, movie, or game is not actually real practically Kragled in your mind - didn't know until just now. And you're probably skeptical. Who wouldn't be? I was when they first told me.

But then I was shown proof - solid, irrefutable, sweet proof that the characters of every story I've watched, read, or played through are very real.

And you're about to be shown the proof as well, through an experience of mine that I'll be sharing with you. I must warn you, though: it will be long, definitely confusing, interesting to some and boring to others. There will be joy. There will be pain. There may even be blood. Heck, there might even be a death or two, but it won't be anything you haven't seen before. Once we get started, you might be able to guess what's going to happen next.

At the beginning, at least. As it continues, the unpredictability level will rise. One thing, however, is certain:

You won't know what hit you.

So buckle up, and let's do this thing.

And so begins Stars Align, my first official fic. Don't worry, the Ninjago stuff will be coming soon - maybe two or three chapters. If you want to know how this story came into being, drop me a PM and I will gladly tell you. It's an interesting story, and I encourage you all to ask. (Because I don't feel like just posting it any old way. You gotta ask me.)
