"Abby Lockhart?"

"Yes?"

"It's about your brother...."
****************
****************
He grabbed her elbow. "Let me call someone, someone, I can get a lawyer.."
his grasp on her got tighter."Just, stay here. Please?"

"I can't. I can't...I don't know what to do" tears raced down Abby's cheeks.
"Don't make me stay here, Carter. Please".

He dropped his hand, looking at the red fingerprints he left on her skin.

She left the door to his apartment open as she ran down the hall. Hair in her face,
sticking to her tear-stained cheeks. Once she felt the breeze on her face, it hit
her. She had no where to go.

"Abby!" Carter called from the window.

She looked over her shoulder, and took off running.
****************
****************
Abby opened her arms wide, letting the breeze sway her whole body.
Toes hung over the edge of the roof,Abby kept crying.

"Come down" the voice whispered,"Please?"

She crawled down slowly. There were only so many places left to run, and
somehow she ended up on County's roof, tettering on the edge of the building,
trying to imagine how it felt to fly. And how it felt to fall.

"Carter called" Luka said, wiping the tears from the corners of her eyes.
"Are you okay?".

"It's not me. Eric's, Eric's out there somewhere. He's out there, probably
hurt, scared..." she cried quietly.

"You make him sound like a little boy, not a man" he wiped the newer tears
with his thumb."You're no good to him if you're hysterical, Abby".

She kept her eyes focused on the cars that passed under them."My brother's missing.
I don't know if he's dead. Do you have any idea.." Abby looked up at Luka's face, his
eyes dark with grief."Nevermind" she muttered.

"Have a little faith in him. You said yourself he was doing okay" Luka leaned against the
large cement-covered air conditioner.

Abby stood back on the ledge and looked at Luka.

He sat there, folding his arms in front of him. Only a slit of his eyes glistened in the
neon lights of the hospital. He watched her stand there, stand on the ledge over Chicago,
watching everything go on below.

"It's like I expected the world just to stop, because mine did" Abby said quietly.

He stood up, yawning.

"I..I never knew how to ask for help" she said quietly, leaning forward as Luka circled
his arms around her waist, helping down from the ledge carefully. She rested her head on
his shoulder, closing her eyes once her feet had hit solid ground."I'm scared".

Luka held her tightly, resting a hand on her lower back."Faith. Just have some faith, Abby".
