Nico
The day started out as normally as it could for a demi-god. I woke up from the Big House acting as a hospital after the war with the Giants. Breakfast was by my bed waiting for me. Will must have brought it because a note under the goblet full of milk said "Doctor's Orders." The breakfast was still hot so he was here recently. I ate the breakfast quickly then got up and tried to leave. Will showed up like he shadow-traveled. He said "Where do you think you're going mister?" "I umm. I was going to take my plate back." "Sure you were. Now lay back down and rest. Doctor's Orders," he said. "You know I still probably won't listen. Oh and how's your day going Will?" "It's going good, it'd be better if you'd follow my instructions though. How is your day going Nico?" he asked. "I'm doing okay, but I'm still paler than normal I think."
Will put his hand on my shoulder and the tingling started up again. He guided me back to my bed, and took the plate. He then said "Stay in bed until I say you can go back to your cabin, okay?"
"Okay, fine but hurry up though I don't like being cooped up so long since the jar," Nico said. Immediately he wished he hadn't said that, he hasn't told anyone other than the crew of the Argo II about his time in the bronze jar under Rome.
Will didn't ask about the jar all he said was "You'll have to be able to do all the normal camp stuff to get out." "But I don't know what I could normally do here," complained Nico. "I never said this camp's normal stuff. I said normal camp stuff like: swimming, canoing, and running around," answered Will. "Oh okay, that should be easier then," replied Nico. He got up out of bed and did a hand stand and started to do superman push ups. "Is this good enough?" asked Nico. "Umm, I, uhh, yeah I guess that works. You are free to go back to your cabin now Nico," said Will in awe and slight disappointment.
Nico headed back to the Hades cabin when Will came up behind him and said "Hey where did you learn how to do those push ups?" "I'm not sure I just did them for the first time back there," Nico explained to Will as they walked to the Hades cabin. "Why did you want to know?" asked Nico. "Because that was pretty cool that you can do them, because those types of push ups are very tough to do," "Oh okay, yeah I'm not sure how I did them because I'm normally not that active with exercise," said Nico as they got to the entrance to the Cabin of Hades.
Nico turned to Will and was ready to say see you later when someone burst from the doorway and knocked Nico into Will and they both fell. Nico landed on top of Will. Neither one of them got up until Hazel who came from the door of the cabin started to smile. Hazel is Nico's sister, she is Pluto's daughter, the Roman version of Hades. She was staring at the two boys waiting to see what would happen. The boys seemed to notice how close they were to each other and got up quickly.
They both brushed the dirt off themselves and glared at Hazel. Nico asked "I thought you left yesterday with Frank and the others?" "Yeah but I came back to check on you and see how you all are doing with out Leo," she choked back a sob its been five days since the end of the giant war and the disappearance of Leo Valdez.
Leo was the builder of the Argo II and every bodies best friend and life will not be the same without him around. He was the one who defeated Gaea with the help of Jason, Piper, and Festus the bronze dragon who Leo was rebuilding on the Argo II in secret. He was hit by a flaming traitor called Octavian. Everybody thinks he is dead but as you the reader know he is not dead, he went to rescue Calypso like he swore(An Oath to Keep With a Final Breath).
Nico looked down at his feet and was deep in thought about what he felt when Leo died. He knew it felt different the way he died, but he wasn't sure why. "Hazel remember that I said his death felt different, and how he made you use the Mist to make a copy of the Physicians Cure?" asked Nico. "Yeah, but why would he ask me to do..." Hazel was putting pieces of the puzzle together until she said "Do you actually think he's alive?" she asked Nico. "I'm not sure but if he is don't tell the others because if he's not they'll be crushed even more then they are now." He isn't sure if his gut is right or not but it's telling him that Leo's alive. Nico just got a idea and said "I'll be right back I have a call to make."
With that he ran away looking for Percy. He went by his cabin, then Annabeth's cabin, and finally to the beach where he spotted him. "Percy!" Nico yelled waving his arms trying to get his attention from this far away. Percy looked up and waved back, and was about ready to go underwater when Nico yelled "Hold up! I need to ask you something!" Percy stopped going down turned Nico's way and started walking his way. Nico slowed down to catch his breath. "Nico what's up, and shouldn't you be in the Big House resting?" asked Percy. "No, I passed physical inspection to see if I could leave. And can I use your fountain and make a Iris call?" explained Nico. "Sure but... Hey where are you going?" Percy asked as Nico went to Percy's cabin.
When he got there Annabeth was there and said "Hey do you know where Percy is Nico?" "Yeah by the beach but he's about to get in and I need in Percy's cabin to make a call, now if you'll excuse me," with that Nico went in Percy's cabin and went to the night stand with the water fountain. He dug out a Golden Drachma from his pants pocket and said "Oh Iris goddess of the rainbow accept my offering. Show me Leo Valdez on Festus the dragon." He flipped the coin in the mist creating a rainbow and a image flickered up of a Latino boy on a bronze dragon with a girl holding onto his waist. "Nico is that you?" Leo asked as he was about to take off. "Yeah man good to see you're not dead like we thought." Nico was smiling cause he was right, his friend's not dead or at least not anymore. Leo was smiling to now that he was talking to Nico and he knew he was alive. Leo said "Nico this is Calypso, Calypso this is Nico. Hey how did you know I wasn't dead?" he asked the son of Hades. "Oh you know I just had this feeling in my gut thats all, and I knew your death was different too," he said. "Well now you can tell the others that I'm alive and heading back to Camp Half-Blood as soon as we're done talking okay," Leo said while prepping Festus for a long flight. With that Nico said his good byes and see you soon to Leo and Calypso. The message faded.
