Drabble! I wanted to post something to make up for my absence. This oneshot is set during Lose Yourself pt. Two. I wrote this way back when the episode aired… and I didn't know if I should have posted it and forgot about it. However, it's back, and I hope you like it! :) I chose not to continue into the conversation because words can't express how beautiful the scene was just on its own.

Disclaimer: I do not own Degrassi, nor do I own the brief Taylor Swift lyric mentioned. No copyright infringement intended.

Hey. I read your play.

And?

It's… it's beautiful.

Yeah, I made some changes.

You made Clara the hero.

That's because she is the hero.

When he sees her, his heart jumps in his chest. Of course she still has that effect on him. She consumes his thoughts.

After everything? Some may ask. He knows she thinks horrible thoughts about him and his mentality; she probably even cracks some jokes. He doesn't want to dwell on it and he doesn't pretend to know what it means.

But he does know that he will always love her. He can't help but remember the good times they had… that list, it seems to him, is never ending. His heart aches, deep and rough in his chest, oh how he misses her. He longs for her touch again, her laugh… and he wonders if he'll ever have her again.

After… everything.

He hopes the new ending to the play will make up for it. The crazy. The ruthlessness. His emotions for her were so strong, hard to contain and control. He was passionate and excited, and maybe they got the best of him, but…

All he wanted was to be wanted.

He sees something in her eyes. Sympathy? Compassion? There's an unmistakable twinkle and he hopes she's considering him again. They had a great thing going, before it turned sour.

For her to be with him again would be a miracle and he knows it. But she is still, and always will be, his everything.
