"It's a pleasure to see you again, Gaston." The golden beauty sang from her open door.

"The pleasure is all mine. You look lovely, as always." He bent down comically at the waist to kiss her hand before raising to his true gastronomical height. While still smiling sweetly at her betrothed, the princess slyly peeked around Gaston's broad shoulders into the dimly lit corridor. It echoed with the soft footsteps of her handmaiden climbing down the winding staircase to give the loving 'couple' some privacy. She grinned an unabashedly toothy grin at him.

"She's gone." Gaston immediately relaxed, bounding into her empty room with undignified grace.

"Thank you so much for arranging this for me. You truly are a goddess, belle." He grabbed her hand and spun her in an unbalanced circle, which made the lady laugh much too loudly to be considered dignified and her mouth to avoid being heard.

"It was not a problem at all! When I saw you two looking at each other, I just knew it had to be done." She bumped him with her hip as she opened the adjoining door to her room, revealing a handsome young man smiling shyly at them.

"Hello Gaston," he whispered sweetly. Gaston smiled so widely it looked like his break in two. He practically ran to the boy, grabbing him in a back breaking hug. The boy's shy smile morphed into a musical giggle as he was lifted off his feet. Gaston delicately put the boy back on the ground before turning back to his betrothed. "I will try to repay you for this, belle, but I don't think I can ever match your generosity."

Belle adamantly shook her head. "No, watching that beautiful display was more then enough payment. Now go on you too! Have fun!" They shared a happy smile as Gaston pulled the boy into the room, leaving his future wife alone in her room. Belle twirled around on the floor before dropping unceremoniously on her bed. She thread the fraying ends of her royal bedspread through her thin fingers ,smiling softly at the ceiling.

"I'm going to marry him." She said out loud, sighing sadly. Through her closed door, she could hear the delighted whispering of two people in love. Grabbing a book off her bedside table, she salaried to distract herself from her impending arranged marriage to a man she did not love.
