A Kouta/Kaede fanfic.
Hi guys!
I decided to write about something OTHER than STH, because I want to be a bit varied. Elfen Lied was one of the few anime I watched, along with Gosick. It was REALLY GOOD. And I always liked this pairing…
It's gonna be short and sweet, as I am in school, and I have very little free time left! EEEEP!

"Kouta, can you come here for a second?"
It was a beautiful evening in Maple House. The sunset's glow filtered through the curtains, creating subtle shadows. Nana had gone out with the rest of the gang to the beach. Mayu had declined; she needed to study, and Kaede and Kouta had also declined. Kouta quickly got up from the kitchen table, where he was eating, and made his way over to Kaede's room, where he knocked on the door, before opening it slowly. His jaw dropped.
Before him stood Kaede, only she looked so different. The Kaede he knew wore the same two-piece outfit. However, this girl was somewhat unfamiliar. Her hair was cut into a short bob, with bangs covering most of her forehead, a rose resting on her head. Her crimson eyes looked less sinister, almost…gentle, fluttering open and closed like butterfly wings. She was wearing a white Lolita dress, with black knee-high boots and an ebony locket on her neck. She stood, tall and slender, in her room, the sun illuminating her pale skin, giving her an almost-celestial appearance. She looked at Kouta, and uttered five simple words.
"Do you think I'm pretty?"
And finally, after three years of waiting, Kouta's thoughts spoke for him.
"You are a fallen angel. You shine brighter than the sun, the moon and the stars in the night sky. The flowers look like weeds when you walk by, as you shame them. Even the beautiful white rose in your hair wilts in comparison to you."
Kaede stood there, shaking. His words ran through her like tremors.
Kouta embraced her and as he brought his head close to hers for the kiss, he whispered.
"No. You aren't pretty. You're enchanting."
