Disclaimer: I do not own Brawl, nor do I own the characters in it. I am not making any money off of this story, either.
Summary: "Some say that I'm a mystery, but am I really? I may not have the ability to speak, but without words, I can express myself easily. However, sometimes that's not a good thing…"
Author's Note: I am uncertain if this qualifies as a "crackfic", but…eh…

When I was brought into the 3D world from the 2D world that I was so accustomed to, I didn't know what to expect. In FlatZone, everything was black and white; color didn't really exist. In this 3D world, it was breath-taking when I saw color for the first time. Different shades and highlights…it was all new to me. When I first met the Smashers, I was nervous. I didn't have any glamorous powers or an interesting background. I was basically an average guy.
It took a while for me to get used to this strange place, but it was worth it. This world was wonderful, and I loved every minute of being in it. However, the Smashers weren't used to my speech. It was very awkward when I first tried to speak, but I managed to learn how to express myself. It was weird at first, but the others got used to it. But this wasn't enough, apparently, to gain many friendships. I basically kept to myself, but I did manage to become friends with Olimar and ROB, to an extent…
One thing that I hadn't counted on was the attractiveness of certain things. One Smasher in particular caught my attention. She was a bit of a loner and didn't really hang out much with everyone else…I didn't really know much about her, but as time went on, I learned a little about her and found out what her name was.
Samus Aran…the bounty hunter.
I didn't know what a bounty hunter was until someone explained it to me. But that didn't matter to me. What did matter was that she didn't seem to talk to anyone – save the two princesses, Peach and Zelda – and it seemed that she disliked being around people.
When I first battled with her, we were on a team. She did amazingly well, and I never saw someone so agile and cunning as her. As time went on, I found myself wanting to learn more about her.
…I've fallen in love with her, but I didn't mean to. Besides, she's an attractive woman – a 3D person – and she would never be interested in someone like me.
I just watched from the sidelines, and every time I had the chance to interact with her, I chickened out. Every time I had the chance to try and tell her how I felt, I ruined it. Even though I wanted to confess my love, I knew that she would never return it.
Ah, the complications of being a 2D person in a 3D world…
